I own 2 personally; a cherry red faded version with the original ceramic pickups, as well as an ivory white one with EMG's installed. They're really fantastic guitars. Great, fast necks and very light. The stock pickups are very versatile, you'll have your bases covered all the way from sparkling clean to face-melting distortion. It's also worth mentioning that they look freakin' epic. :) You're making a very wise decision in purchasing one.
References :
ANYTHING! No, seriously, metal, rock and roll, classic rock, guitar solos, you name it. The Gibson Flying V is a beautiful piece of artistry that lends its beauty to rocking out. Love it. Appreciate it.
