Should I buy this used Gibson Flying V from GC?

I can play a lot of Metalica, I’m good at guitar. I already have an Epi Les Paul standard and a KH-202. The Faded V is $499, its used at Guitar Center. The strings aren’t brand new (expected), but the fretboard on the neck looks sorta worn out. Well not worn out, maybe a little dirty. If I cleaned it would it clear up? I just don’t know about this guitar. I played it twice, but it was a V so I couldn’t get the full feel without standing up, (it didn’t have a strap.) Can anyone give me some insight, thanks.

I would recommend playing it standing up and being comfortable but since you played it already and didn’t find anything immediately wrong with it, I’d say go for it. If the neck was tweaked or the frets were sharp or it had shorts, etc, you would have discovered it already.

The neck will clean up easy, especially if you plan on doing a string change on it anyway.

Go buy the damned thing.
