Whats is a better guitar than a Gibson Les Paul?
I play mostly metal and im trying to stay away from the overrated Gibson les paul brand of guitars. I like the Gibson explorer, but thats beyond my budget. I just want something unique that is better than the infamous al mighty les paul
Gibson’s are expensive but not over-rated. You pay for a lot of aesthetics on a Les Paul that you do not on something like a Strat. You can’t really say something is "better" than a Les Paul, that is subjective. Without knowing your budget it is hard to make a recommendation. I do have Schecter that plays as well or better than my Les Paul Gold Top or my Les Paul Jr. Once you get into the $1000 or so Schecter guitars you have a serious axe. If you play a lot of metal one of their models with the active EMG’s would be awesome. The new Stiletto Classic would be a killer guitar.
