Custom Crafted 3 pickup Dobro/National by D Guitars Miami
Well folks, here we have a custom built National-style Dobro Resonator guitar custom crafted by Master Luthier Doron Markowitz of D Guitars Miami. Check us out at www.myspace.com/dguitarsmiami. Model number-DR-38, built on 11-17-03. The body and neck are mahogany, w/a rosewood fretboard w/19 medium frets and pearl dot inlays. It has a cutaway for easy upper fret access. The body is bound in white, front and back. It has a maple bridge saddle, and a National-style cone & cover plate. The guitar is finished in matte black. Tuners are chrome Schallers for reliable tuning every time!! Electronics consist of 3 pickups-a lipstick single coil at the neck, a Gibson humbucker, w/the “D” logo engraved, mounted in the cover plate near the bridge, also w/custom engraving, and piezo transducer under the cone, 3-way Gibson-style pickup selector, volume, tone, and 3-way mini toggle to select electric pickups only, both piezo & electric, or just piezo, and the jack is on the lower bout near the strap button. The action is low, but can be raised if you so desire. This guitar is a monster player- an acoustic that feels like an electric!! Scale length is 25″, Nut width is 1 11/16″, and string spread at the bridge is 2 3/16″.

Sorry dude. I reluctantly sold it shortly after first posting this video. I don’t know if I’m going to build another yet. I haven’t decided.
