How to get music equipment endorsement deals ?

How would you go about getting an endorsement deal with an amp company like marshall or a guitar company like gibson or fender. what are the requirements for this ? do you have to be famous because people i know have endorsement deals a bass player i know has an endorsement deal with a drum Company and he doesn’t know how to play drums.

    Generally, you have to be famous enough for musicians to recognise you, of course. These things usually go to people who sell a fair amount of records, are signed to major deals, are known within their field or are just “faces” – ie, recognisable to the general public.
    It’s worth approaching them though, even if you aren’t any of these things. Lower key brands, in particular, aim lower.
