This is for all guitar players !!!! Can I put fender strings—09’s- on my les paul-gibson?

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

I would like to know if I can use fender string-fender bullets-on my gibson-les paul guitar?

Yes, but they wont sound good. Les Pauls do much better with .10s or thicker. .09s are just too thin and takes away some of the rich tone you get out of genuine gibson.

Will a gibson les paul studio guitar fit in an epiphone les paul case?

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

I’m just wondering whether my guitar will fit in this epiphone case.

Yes, it will. the Epi actually was probably slightly thicker from top to back than the LP Studio, so it should be fine.

Can you use the ps3 gibson les pauls guitar for guitar hero 3 on the ps2?

Monday, October 12th, 2009

I know that the rock band fender guitar can be used on both the ps2 and the ps3 because it is the same guitar but what about the les pauls?

No. You’ll need an wireless adapter. The Ps3 Les Paul uses Bluetooth. And unless you can find a bluetooth adapter that plugs into the PS2 no.

Where can I find a neck for my guitar that says Gibson Les Paul?

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

I have a silvertone knock-off and I want people to think I have a Les Paul Custom.

They’re going to know its not a real Les Paul because necks for Les Paul’s are set necks not bolt on. So when they see you have a bolt on Les Paul neck its going to give it all away.

Is the Gibson Les Paul studio electric guitar a good guitar to buy?

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

is it worth the $800 it costs? why or why not

Real Gibson’s don’t have bolt on necks. What specifically are you curious about?

How much is my 1990 Gibson Les Paul Special Electric Guitar worth?

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

I have a 1990 Gibson Les Paul Special Electric Guitar. It is Mustard Yellow, and is in fairly good condition. It has a few dings and dents around the body and the colour has faded on the back of the fret board. It has P-90 pickups. It still has the original volume controls & nobs etc. How much would/should this be worth, or where could i find the answer to this question?

Call my boss Teddy at Make’n Music in Chicago. His number is 312.455.1970. You can try e-mailing him as well at sales@makenmusic.com. He knows everything about guitars and will give you an expert ESTIMATE – realizing that an instrument can’t be truly appraised unless it’s inspected in person.

Hope this helps.

How much is my Epiphone Les Paul Gibson Sunburst Guitar worth?

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

I got a guitar in my divorce and I know that it is a Les Paul Sunbust Epiphone Gibson guitar because of the markings on it. I have the serial number, it is I98040947 . How do I find out how much it is worth online? I know I can take it to a guitar shop but I want to know if I can find it online. Thanks!!!

Just to be clear, it’s not a Gibson, it’s an Epiphone. There’s a big difference. The serial number isn’t the key – you need the model number. There are lots of Epi LPs out there, some selling new for as little as $170. Used gear sells for about half of its new selling price. Your best bet is to determine the specific model, find out what it sells for new, and ask for half of that. Good luck.

can you play a gibson les paul guitar without an amp?

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

hi im gonna get a gibson lp and im just wondering can you play it without an amp
no im actually getting a gibson and im 13
ummm by the way what would be a cheap but good amp for my gibson

Yes, but why would you? the entire point of an electric guitar is playing with an amp. Besides it wont sound like a Les Paul. I assume since you asked this your a kid and are actually getting an epipohne les paul not a gibson.
